In anticipation of the election on December 7, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has decided to temporarily halt his campaign tour.
Dr. Bawumia has been placed on leave so that he can get ready for the Sunday, August 18, NPP manifesto launch.
The trip will resume right away following the launch, according to a statement signed by Dennis Miracles Aboagye, the Bawumia campaign’s director of communications.
The Western region’s Takoradi will host the event.
A committee consisting of eleven members has been constituted by the NPP leadership to supervise the organizing and implementation of the manifesto rollout.
Madam Oboshie Sai-Cofie is the committee’s chair, and its members include, among others, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, Fati Abubakar, Anthony Abayifa Karbo, and Henry Nana Boakye.
