In Nkwasiatan, a farming settlement in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region, a swarm of bees is said to have attacked and killed 56-year-old farmer Kwasi Adutwum.
Reports state that on Tuesday, December 10, the deceased left for his fields but did not return for several hours.
As a result, worried locals started looking.
The incident was described by Assemblyman Alexander Kwasi Yeboah of the Nkwasiatan electoral constituency.
“When we went to search for him, we found his lifeless body covered in bees,” he said.
After informing the Nyinahin police, the deceased’s body was taken to the mortuary of the Bibiani Government Hospital for preservation and additional examination.
The incident’s circumstances are being looked upon by authorities.
