Chaos In Kpone As Fuel Tankers Burst Into Fire
A fuel tanker fire was reported at Kpone, behind the GPHA terminal at the barrier.
On March 24, 2025, a fuel tanker fire was reported at Kpone, behind the GPHA terminal at the barrier. The fire spread to at least three fuel tanks.
Five fire tenders were sent to the scene by the Ghana National Fire Service in a timely response to combat the fierce fire.
Despite their best efforts, firefighters were able to control the fire and stop it from spreading.
Following a concerted effort, the fire was contained, preventing a possibly more catastrophic catastrophe. Authorities are evaluating the damage and looking into what started the fire.
Although there have been no recorded injuries, the fire terrified nearby workers and neighbors.
Because the situation is still being monitored, emergency services are still on high alert.
