Chelsea Ready On £29m Deal for Brazilian Teen Estevao

Chelsea is poised to finalize the acquisition of 17-year-old Estevao Willian from Palmeiras, having agreed on an initial fee of £29 million for the promising winger.

The arrangement encompasses performance-based add-ons for Estevao, who is regarded as one of the most esteemed young talents in Brazilian football.

This substantial investment is indicative of Chelsea’s ongoing strategy to secure top-tier youthful talent on a global scale, reinforcing their commitment to future-proofing their squad.

In recent years, the Blues have strategically acquired several youthful prospects from South America, notably including Andrey Santos, Deivid Washington, Angelo, and the 17-year-old Ecuadorian forward Kendry Paez, who is slated to join in 2025 from Independiente del Valle.

Additionally, Chelsea has bolstered their recruitment team by enlisting Sam Jewell from Brighton, where he played a pivotal role in their international talent-scouting operations, with a particular focus on the South American region.
