Chelsea have announced the signing of center-back Tosin Adarabioyo. He will join the team for the 2024/25 season.
The 26-year-old has signed a four-year contract starting on July 1, coming from Fulham, their west London neighbors.
Tosin expressed his excitement, saying, “Chelsea is a huge club, and this is a full-circle moment for me. I was born three miles from Stamford Bridge and made my professional debut there.”
Born in London and raised in Manchester, Tosin started his career with Man City at age five. He rose through the youth ranks and captained the Under-18s at 16.
He made his professional debut at Stamford Bridge in February 2016, playing for a young Man City team in the FA Cup, and made seven more first-team appearances over the next two seasons.
After season-long loans with West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn Rovers in the Championship, Tosin permanently joined Fulham in October 2020.
In his first Premier League season with Fulham, he made 33 appearances and earned praise for his performance. He played 44 games the next season, helping Fulham get promoted from the Championship.
Since Fulham’s return to the Premier League, Tosin has made 45 appearances, helping the team finish tenth and thirteenth in the past two seasons.
