The Ghana Football Association are set to unveil a new Black Stars coach Chris Hughton at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Chris Hughton was set to take over Black Stars before the appointment of Otto Addo for the world cup qualification and the tournament finals.

In a statement, the GFA said the 64-year-old would be unveiled as part of the team’s build-up to their 2023 AFCON qualifier against Angola.

The Black Stars will host Angola in Kumasi on March 23 before facing the Black Antelopes three days later in Luanda as they aim to book their place at next year’s tournament. Ghanaians are waiting for Chris Hughton to deliver silverware to Ghana.

The GFA said Hughton is set to be presented to the public and allowed to engage the media on his vision and expectations.

Black Stars Coach Chris Hughton will be unveiled in Kumasi on Monday, March 20, 2023, as part of the build-up to the match against Angola, the statement read.

The former Brighton and Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur manager will be presented to the media to share his vision, ideology, and expectations with the public in Kumasi.

The first engagement between the coach and the media in Kumasi will be a platform for the Football Association to also make public the targets, terms of engagement, and other relevant information about the manager’s work.

Chris Hughton has named a 25-man squad to face Angola in a double-header AFCON qualifier. The team contains some regular faces, including Mohammed Kudus, Thomas Partey and the Ayew brothers.
