Christian Leaders In Ashanti Region Offer Prayers For NAPO Ahead Of Dec. 7

On Friday, November 29, 2024, Christian leaders from the Ashanti Region convened in Kumasi to pray for Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) running mate for the general elections of 2024.

In order to ask for divine guidance and blessings for Dr. Prempeh, NPP flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and the approaching elections, more than 200 Christian leaders from all 47 seats in the region gathered.

The clerics emphasized the necessity for a peaceful election process while the prayers centered on peace, stability, and divine favor for Dr. Prempeh.

They prayed for God to lead the nation and for the leaders of that country to have courage and discernment.

In his reply, Dr. Prempeh expressed gratitude to the clergy for their support and gave them his word that the NPP will work to strengthen ties between the state and religious groups.

Additionally, he restated Dr. Bawumia’s election-related objective of inclusive governance and cooperation.

Apostle Sampson Adjei Berko of Glory & Hope Ministries International led the intercessory prayers and emphasized the significance of divine intervention in guaranteeing a successful election and the general welfare of the country.

The occasion brought to light how important religious leaders are in directing the political process, encouraging national unity, and providing spiritual guidance.
