Dr. Orleans-Lindsay Named first Chancellor Of Cape Coast Technical University
The first Chancellor of Cape Coast Technical University is Dr. James Condua Orleans-Lindsay, nominated by the Governing Council.
Among Ghana’s most esteemed business magnate, Dr. Orleans-Lindsay is a highly regarded TEDx speaker and business magnate with international recognition.
He has interests in real estate, agriculture, and other areas. He serves as the CEO of JL Properties and the Executive Chairman of JL Holdings.
His numerous business ventures encompass the African and European construction, beverage, security, bakery, supply, agribusiness, aquaculture, and consulting sectors.
Dr. James Condua Orleans-Lindsay is an alumnus of St. Peter’s Senior Secondary School and St. Augustine’s College, holding O’Level and A’Level certificates. He earned a BSc in Biochemistry from KNUST, an MSc in Construction Management from the University of Salford, and a PhD in Construction Management from the University of Hertfordshire. He also completed certification programs in Real Estate Finance at LSE and Real Estate Development at Oxford’s Saïd Business School.
A sports enthusiast, he has served on the board of Accra Hearts of Oak Football Club and holds a CAF Coaching Certificate A. Dr. Orleans-Lindsay is a board member at All Nations University and has been president of the Ghana Association of Young Entrepreneurs and chief patron of the Cape Coast Youth Development Association.
Born in Cape Coast and raised in Koforidua and Accra, he is a Christian and married to Nana Ama Abrefi Lindsay, with whom he has two daughters and two sons. He enjoys reading autobiographies and watching documentaries. His appointment is effective from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2029.
