Driver Suffers Head Injuries In Crash At Kansaworodo Junction
On Friday, Sekondi Metro Station firefighters responded quickly to an accident at Kansaworodo Junction.
A 40-foot cooking oil container was being transported by a DAF XF long vehicle with the registration number GN 1294-21 at the time of the accident.
The driver was brought to Fijai Hospital after suffering head injuries.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) said in a statement that at 12:36 p.m., the station got a distress call.
When Kenneth Agbavor and his team arrived at the scene at 12:43 PM, they discovered the vehicle was upside down and that gasoline was leaking into the surrounding drains and across the road.
In order to eliminate the possibility of an explosion, the crew utilized foam compound right away, averting a possible catastrophe.
Investigations are ongoing to ascertain the cause of the road crash.
