According to the chief of Drobonso in the Ashanti Region’s Sekyere Afram Plains District, he drove Nana Kwame Bediako, also referred to as Cheddar, from his territory for planning a political campaign without the palace’s approval.
The Drobonsohene voiced his displeasure with Cheddar’s choice, calling it a disrespectful gesture.
The chief shot back, asking, “Do you have a community?” Noting that it is traditional for anyone wishing to interact with the community for political reasons to visit the palace and request permission.
He made it plain that until Cheddar complies with the required customs, no more political gatherings will be permitted.
As part of his tour to 276 constituencies before the elections on December 7, Cheddar would be stopping by Afram Plains.
