ECG Boss Steps Down
Samuel Dubik Mahama, the Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG), has tendered his resignation.
According to reports, he sent a letter to Alexander Afenyo-Markin, the chairman of the ECG Board, announcing his resignation.
However, the cause of the move is currently unknown.
On May 16, 2022, President Akufo-Addo named Mr. Mahama to succeed Kwame Agyeman-Budu.
He had been a non-executive director of ECG before being appointed, and he has a wealth of expertise in both the public and private sectors.
In addition, he held positions as a partner at Dubik & Associates, Wilkins Engineering, country agent for Gulfsouth Forest Products, and non-executive director for GIHOC Distilleries.
In addition to being a graduate of the University of Ghana, he practices law.
