The Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Madam Jean Adukwei Mensa has indicated that the ballot positions for the presidential candidates in the 2024 elections remain unchanged.
According to her, even though Madam Akua Donkor, the then presidential candidate of the Ghana Freedom Party, is deceased, her image will not be expunged from the ballot, as a result, the positions remain unchanged.
The decision has become necessary because Akua Donkor’s successor, Appiah Kubi, has been disqualified on grounds of irregularities his nomination forms were fraught with.
The Chairperson further stated that any vote cast in favour of Madam Akua Donkor in 2024 general elections will be annulled.
She made this known to the press on November 12.
