Erpreben Travel and Tour supports Osu Police Command

A tourism agency,  Erpreben Travel and Tour has presented some air conditioners worth GH¢20, 000 to the Osu Police Command in Accra.

The gesture was to improve the working conditions of the personnel, boost their morale and ultimately help improve the security situation in Osu and its adjoining communities.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Erpreben Travel and Tour, Dr Eric Kofi Sam, who presented the items, said during a visit to the police station, he observed the poor state of the office environment, coupled with excessive heat in many of the offices.

Moved by the challenging conditions under which the officers performed their duties, Dr Sam assured the leadership that he would provide several air conditioners to help create a more conducive and comfortable work environment for them.

“We believe that those who protect and serve deserve a safe, dignified and comfortable workplace, and so this donation is our small way of saying thank you and to encourage the personnel as they carry out their security duty for Osu and surrounding communities where Erpreben Travel and Tour operates,” he added.

More support

Dr Sam further appealed to other corporate bodies and philanthropists to emulate the gesture by supporting the Osu police district command.

Receiving the items, the Osu District Police Commander, Superintendent Maister Klay, expressed appreciation to Erpreben Travel and Tour and also appealed to other institutions to support the service.

Superintendent Klay said the government or the police hierarchy could not do it alone and, therefore, assistance such as the donation from the Erpreben Travel and Tour was exemplary and worth emulating.

He said the air conditioners would go a long way to inspire them to give their best.
