FIFA praises former Ghanaian Blackstars midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah  for providing an incredible assist to Asamoah Gyan during the 2014 World Cup’s 2-1 loss to Portugal in the competition’s final Group G encounter.

Through FIFA’s official Twitter account, a video of the assist was posted, and fans of the game eagerly watched and gushed over it fraught with warm comments.

With his assist, Asamoah displayed his superb technical ability and vision, which was a brilliant idea. The well-timed pass allowed Gyan to enter with ease.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal in the 80th minute helped Ghana lose 2-1 in the end. Ghana, which had earlier lost to the US and drawn 2-2 with Germany, was eliminated from the competition as a result of the defeat.
