Fire Breaks Out, Consumes Several Buildings In Tantra Hill

On Monday, February 17, a fire at Tantra Hill Court Pub burned more than fifty stores and residences; no one was hurt.
When several gas cylinders exploded, leaving little left, the fire, which had begun in a wooden building at around 1 p.m., swiftly spread. Although the Ghana National Fire Service arrived quickly, the fire had already spread to a large portion of the neighborhood. Thankfully, they succeeded in containing the fire.
Unattended children playing with fire may have started the fire, according to preliminary findings.
Emissa Monica, one of the victims, told her tragic story of losing everything in the terrible fire.
“I have lost everything. All my belongings have been reduced to ashes. I had about GH₵500 in my room, and it’s all gone in the fire,” she lamented.
