Fire Destroys Sections Of Labone Honeysuckle Bar
Around 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 26, a fire broke out at The Honeysuckle Pub and Restaurant in Labone, Accra, affecting portions of the well-known establishment.
The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) responded quickly, containing the fire mostly in the restaurant’s kitchen and avoiding more extensive damage to the building.
After their prompt arrival, GNFS officials put out the fire and stopped its spread. In order to protect rescuers and avoid possible reignition, officials from the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) also arrived on the scene and turned off the electricity.
Later, on the Fire Service’s official Facebook page, Assistant Division Officer Alex King Nartey gave an update on the situation and praised the efficient cooperation between GNFS and ECG in protecting the area.
