Fire Ravages Teachers’ Apartments At Toase SHS

Four teachers’ apartments at Toase Senior High School, which is situated in the Ashanti Region’s Atwima Nwabiagya South Municipality, have been gutted by a devastating fire.

Despite warnings to the district’s fire station, the afternoon-starting fire reportedly continued unchecked for hours.

The fire vehicle had been out of commission for more than a month and was awaiting repairs, according to residents who claimed to have tried several times to get in touch with the Nkawie fire station.

Due to the severe delay in response attempts caused by the lack of an operating fire apparatus, the fire was able to spread quickly and inflict significant damage.

Among other features, the impacted facilities include four rooms and a bathroom.
The cause is still being investigated.

Teachers who were impacted are now displaced, and the community is still dealing with the fallout.

People in the area are still upset about the fire department’s slow reaction.
