Friday, December 6 Announced As A Public Holiday.

To commemorate the yearly Farmers’ Day celebration, the government, acting through the Interior Ministry, has designated Friday, December 6, 2024, as a statutory holiday.

In a statement, Henry Quartey, the sector minister, asked everyone in the nation to observe the day as such.

“Building Climate-Resilient Agriculture for Sustainable Food Security” was the focus of this year’s celebration, which will mark its 40th anniversary.

On Friday, November 8, 2024, the commemoration of Farmers Day was honored.

Because of the impending general elections, the date was shifted from December 6, the customary first Friday of the month.

Therefore, even with the early celebration, December 6 is still the statutory holiday.
