Gabon: PDG Endorse Ondimba Re-Election Bid
Gabon Democratic Party on Sunday approved the re-election of President Ali Bongo Ondimba.
The Bongo family have been ruling Gabon since 1967. Ali Bongo Ondimba replaced his father, Omar Bongo, in 2009 as the president. His third-term bid seems to have been unanimously approved by his party.
Gabon goes to the polls in August 2023 to elect new leaders to lead the country. Who can even oppose Ali Bongo from seeking re-election? From his family background, the old rich African country certainly belongs to them.

According to the Secretary General of the PDG party, Steeve Nzegho Dieko, Ali Bongo is the right candidate to lead the party. The Gabonese people will decide who should rule come August.
For us, the distinguished comrade president (Ali Bongo Ondimba, Ed.) is the natural candidate for our political party and we hope that by then the president will decide as soon as possible. Dieko added.
