Martin Okyere, the owner of a gas station in Gomoa Akotsi, in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region, was shot dead by two armed thieves.
The regrettable event took place early on Thursday, November 28, 2024.
The deceased, a 50-year-old man known as Italian Burger, may have been running the station for more than 11 years, according to information obtained by Adom News.
Richmond Agyei, an eyewitness, told Adom News that he hurried to the area after hearing several gunshots at the gas station.
When he arrived, he discovered the deceased lying in a pool of his own blood as the criminals were pillaging his chamber.
According to Mr. Agyei, he and the deceased’s daughter nearly perished in an attempt to rescue.
Mr. Okyere died as a result of gunshot wounds.
Lucas Esi, Martin’s sister, was unable to contain her tears and urged the Ghana Police to bring the offenders to justice.
