GCB Bank Closes Liberty House Branch Temporarily Over Katamanto Market Fire

The fire outbreak at the Katamanto market has caused GCB Bank to temporarily close its Liberty House Branch in Accra.

The choice is to put the security of bank employees, clients, and property first.

GCB Bank promised its customers in a statement that steps have been taken to minimize any disturbance to its esteemed customers.

“GCB Bank PLC wishes to inform its customers and the general public that due to the inconvenience caused by the fire earlier this morning at the Katamanto Market in the Central Business District of Accra, its Liberty House branch has been temporarily closed to the public,” the statement noted.

For banking services, customers are thus urged to visit any of the neighboring branches, including Katamanto, Makola, Okaishie, Derby Avenue, Adabraka, Republic House, and High Street.

Additionally, the bank’s offices and online platforms around the country are still open for seamless service.

GCB Bank promised all of its stakeholders that it would always provide value.

The statement also said, “Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.”

In due time, the Liberty House Branch’s reopening date will be disclosed.
