Ghana Chieftaincy Awards to be launched on July 17

THE official launch of the third edition of the Ghana Chieftaincy Awards (GCA) and Royal Investment Summit 2025 will take place on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Alisa Hotel in Accra.

The event, organised by the Obokese Foundation in partnership with The Black Star Experience, the National House of Chiefs and Ram Media Concepts Ghana, seeks to usher in a new chapter in Ghana’s traditional leadership that champions sustainable development, environmental advocacy and inclusive investment through the power of chieftaincy.

Held under the theme, “A United Front for Promotion of Environmental Awareness, Royal Investment, and Land Tenure System,” the GCA 2025 launch will spotlight the transformative role of chiefs and queen mothers as not just custodians of culture but as active players in national economic advancement.

Speaking at the official announcement of the partnership with the Blackstar Experience, founder of Obokese Foundation, Nana Obokese I, said the event is focused on preserving culture and creating positive social change.

He expressed confidence that with support from key national institutions, the Ghana Chieftaincy Awards & Royal Investment Summit 2025 will grow into a major platform for dialogue, collaboration and leadership.

“Our goal is to preserve our heritage while creating lasting social impact. With strong national support, this event will become a powerful space for leadership and unity.

This year’s initiative is a call to action. We are inviting our traditional rulers to step forward as leaders in sustainability, investors in community-driven development, and voices for reform in land governance,” he stated.

A central feature of the initiative, the Royal Investment Summit, will focus on the theme: “Bridging Tradition and Global Capital: Unlocking Regional Investment Opportunities in Ghana.”

The summit aims to present a compelling case for regional investment by connecting Ghana’s 16 regions to international investors, highlighting viable opportunities in, tourism, infrastructure and financial technology.

Presidential Staffer for the Black Star Experience, Rex Omar, believes the Summit will play a key role in promoting Ghanaian culture to a broader audience.

“Summit is a powerful platform to showcase the richness of Ghanaian culture to the world,” he noted.

The launch will be a curtain-raiser for the main GCA 2025 ceremony, which is scheduled to take place in Kumasi from October 3–4, 2025.
