Ghana Reggae Dancehall Awards 2024: Roadmap to Success*

The Ghana Reggae Dancehall Awards, an annual event celebrating the best in Ghanaian Reggae and Dancehall music, is gearing up for its second edition in 2024. The organizers have released a comprehensive roadmap outlining the key milestones and deadlines leading up to the awards night.

The nominations process, which began earlier this year, has been extended to November 17. By this date, the organizers, Lagazee and Co., aim to have at least 20 songs per category, including entries for the board to screen down to between 5 and 7 per category.

The board will then convene for at least three sittings from November 20 to 25 to review and deliberate on the nominations. A separate team will review the videos to ensure that all entries meet the required standards.

The nominations will be officially released on November 30, accompanied by a press release. This will be followed by a series of media interviews to promote the nominations and generate buzz around the awards.

The nominated songs will be sent to the Academy by December 9, and Academy voting will end on December 15. The Nominees Jam will take place in the U.K. around the same time.

The board will then cast their votes on December 27, and the winners will be announced at the awards night on December 29.th .
