Ghanaian students, driven by a passion for robotics, are gearing up to represent their country at the upcoming Robotics World Championship in the USA.
Through the study of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education, these primary and pre-tertiary students have been honing their skills in building robots and creating mobile games.
Their goal is to showcase Ghana’s talent and potential on the global stage by competing in the 2024 VEX Robotics World Championship, where they hope to clinch the gold medal.
Artificial intelligence has become a focal point worldwide, thanks to the guidance and hands-on learning provided by dedicated coaches associated with various STEM educational organizations.
These students have honed their abilities in coding, engineering, and critical thinking, creating advanced robots ready to take on the world stage.
Their optimism for success at the 2024 VEX Robotics World Championship shines through. Many of them have voiced their confidence, citing their dedication and readiness for the competition, convinced that they have what it takes to emerge victorious.
“To compete with others from around the world, I believe Ghanaians will excel. We’ve practiced and trained extensively, and I am confident we will perform well,” one student remarked.
“So far, we’ve created various robots, including a drive train and a cobot. Last year, I was part of the team that built the robot for the previous competition, and this year, I contributed to building the current robot,” another Ghanaian student proudly added.
