In the Gomoa East District of the Central Region, a 10-year-old child named Nurudeen Abubakar sadly drowned in Salt Lake at Gomoa Nyanyano.
Adom News has learned that Nurudeen disappeared on Wednesday after coming home from school. His body was found on February 20, 2025, a Thursday.
In an interview with Adom News, Isaac Quansah, the Assemblyman for the Upper Nyanyano electoral constituency, verified the occurrence.
The body has been placed in the Mother and Child Hospital mortuary for preservation, according to Mr. Quansah.
An investigation into the event has also been started by the police.
To ensure that such tragedies don’t happen again, the assemblyman asked parents to be more vigilant about keeping an eye on their kids’ whereabouts.
