How To Verify Your Voter Registration Online Ahead Of The October 19, 2024, Deadline

In advance of the next general election, the Ghanaian Electoral Commission (EC) has begun an online re-exhibition of the Provisional Voter’s Register (PVR).

The EC asked registered voters to check their information online between Tuesday, October 15, and Saturday, October 19, 2024, according to a press release they released today.

Voters can make sure their information is correct and report any inconsistencies before the deadline by taking advantage of this effort.

The Electoral Commission offers two easy ways to verify your voter registration information:

1. VIA SHORT CODE: VOTERS CAN DIAL *711*51# ON THEIR MOBILE PHONES, FREE OF CHARGE, TO ACCESS THEIR VOTER DETAILS.

2. VIA THE EC WEBSITE:VISIT HTTPS://EC.GOV.GH AND CLICK ON THE POP-UP LINK AT THE BOTTOM-RIGHT CORNER OF THE SCREEN. ENTER YOUR 10-DIGIT VOTER ID NUMBER TO VIEW YOUR REGISTRATION DETAILS.

Voters have until October 19 to submit any anomalies they see to their local District Electoral Commission Office for repair. Voters will no longer be able to make revisions after this date, although they will still be able to access their information online.

A template has been made available to political parties for the submission of any discrepancies found during the re-exhibition period.

In order to guarantee the accuracy of voter data prior to the 2024 elections, this exercise is essential.
