IPAC Meeting Update: EC Admits To NDC’s Claim Of 2,094 Illegal Voter Transfers

During a current Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting, the Ghanaian Electoral Commission (EC) verified a claim made by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) about the unlawful transfer of approximately 2,094 voters.

Concerns regarding possible vulnerabilities in the voter management system were raised when the NDC claimed that these people had been moved without showing up on the official absentee list.

However, the EC has admitted to the disparity and said that the problem has already been found and fixed.

The commission responded by assuring all parties involved that corrective actions had been taken to resolve the issue and maintain the accuracy of the voter database.

The EC and political parties are collaborating to ensure a transparent and fair election, and this update coincides with increased scrutiny of the electoral process as political parties get ready for future elections.

The NDC, who is present at the current meeting, has not yet responded to the EC’s admission or its corrective measures.
