NDC flagbearer John Dramani Mahama has promised that if elected, he will bring back automatic recruitment for nursing trainees.
In order to allay their worries, he further committed to reviewing the current allowance program for nursing trainees.
In her speech to students at the Ntotronso Nursing and Midwifery College in the Ahafo Region, Mahama reiterated the NDC’s pledge to cover first-year university students’ academic user fees.
He told the trainees:
“I know all the problems you have with your allowances and everything, and we are going to come and make things better for you. We will restore automatic posting so that when you graduate, you can secure a job as quickly as possible,”
“Your younger brothers and sisters who will come after you won’t have to pay any school fees in their first year,”
In order to give recent nursing graduates job possibilities, Mahama also promised to carry with the ongoing hospital construction projects.
He urged the students to vote for the New Democratic Party on December 7.
