Nana Owusu Sasu Bediatuo II, the chief of Kwawu Kwamang, has proclaimed war on unlicensed miners who trespass onto the community’s property.
The Kwawu West Municipality’s Kwawu Kwamang is endowed with gold reserves.
Illegal miners have been advised by the chief to avoid the area or risk resistance from him and his senior members.
Before trying to mine in the community, he advised miners to adhere to the correct protocols.
During his coronation, Nana Owusu Sasu Bediatuo II issued the warning.
He asked for assistance in promoting development and gave a three-year plan for the town.
On behalf of former President John Mahama, former Ashanti Regional Minister Samuel Sarpong congratulated Nana Owusu Sasu Bediatuo II on her appointment as chief and pledged assistance for the community’s growth.
