Kwesi Arthur Shock Fans Online As He Redefines His Style With A Fresh New Look After Ditching Dreadlocks

Ghanaian rapper, Kwesi Arthur has left his fans astonished as he debuted a fresh new look by shedding off his signature dreadlocks.

The significant transformation has sparked intrigue and discussion among his followers, particularly in light of his father, Mr Samuel Danso Arthur‘s disapproval of his previous hairstyles.

His father who was vocal about his hairstyle in a 2020 interview listed some of the actions he would not want him to dabble in.

He stated “I don’t want him to pierce his ear and I don’t want tattoos and at the same time I don’t want the hair to overgrow. The hair he has now is grown and it doesn’t look simple too.

I want him to be one of the finest artistes in the world. I want him to still remain simple and remember he comes from a poor background,” he said.

Kwesi Arthur, 28, known for his distinctive musical style and captivating performances, had been synonymous with his iconic dreadlocks since rising to prominence in the music industry.

However, his decision to part ways with this defining feature has left fans in awe and curious about the motivation behind such a bold change.

A social media user wrote, “Wow this guy is so handsome like this? ?eeeeii wow❤️”. Another fan commented, “Mummy will be happy” while another posted a tweet “Don’t know but I feel Kwesi is going through a lot!”

Other fans were left disappointed with his new look.

Honestly he doesn’t look good in this. I had preferred the dread look but I’m not him So let me keep my opinion to myself,” another tweep said.

The artist’s parents’ disapproval of his dreadlocks and his shirtless stunt adds an additional layer of context to Kwesi Arthur’s transformation.

Born into a strong Christian background, his music and his parent’s generational/cultural beliefs have often clashed, however, the differences have rather shaped his perspectives on personal appearance.

In the past, several news outlets reported that his father took him to the Barber’s shop to get a haircut but Kwesi Arthur has at other times gone back to an Afro or dreadlocks despite his father’s objections, which others have hailed as a demonstration of his commitment to personal growth and artistic freedom.

For fans who have closely followed ‘The Grind Dey’ rapper’s artistic trajectory, the unveiling of his fresh new look has ignited speculation about the direction his music and image will take.

Will this change mark a shift in his sound or the beginning of a new creative era? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain: Kwesi Arthur’s ability to captivate audiences extends beyond his physical appearance.
