Former President John Mahama donated a 75-horsepower tractor to NDC members injured in a 2020 campaign accident at Frante. The tractor, presented by former Agriculture Minister Alhaji Mohammed Limuna Muniru, aims to support the victims’ farming activities and income generation.

On November 21, 2020, a road accident involving NDC supporters heading to a rally in Ejura resulted in fatalities and severe injuries. Some survivors, like the Branch Chairman, lost limbs, facing lifelong disabilities.

Yakubu Adam, who lost his right arm, recalls the tragedy but appreciates the ongoing support from the NDC. Rashida Forkor, another survivor, highlighted the help received from the party, including financial aid from former President Mahama and assistance from the MP.

Akua Alhassan, who suffered severe injuries, is thankful for the party’s consistent support and loyalty.

The tractor donation offers hope and relief to the survivors and families of the deceased, providing comfort and support.

For Yakubu, Rashida, Akua, and others affected, this donation will ease their struggles, reducing physical and financial burdens and helping them regain independence and normalcy.

Former Agriculture Minister Alhaji Mohammed Limuna Muniru stated that the tractor aims to empower survivors with a sustainable livelihood. MP Mohammed Braimah Bawa expressed optimism about the positive impact on the victims’ lives.
