Man Accused Of Killing Stepdaughter In Sehwi Yamatwa

On his farm at Sehwi Kankakrom, close to Yamatwa, in the Bia West District of the Western North Region, Josontey Kwame, a man thought to be in his late forties, is accused of killing his stepdaughter.

Local resident Isaac Oduro verified the sad event to Augustine Boah of Adom News.

He clarified that she had been sent by the deceased’s mother to bring food to her father at the property.

The deceased, Mary Josontey, had not, however, returned home after a number of hours.

Her mother was told by her father, who just went as Kwame Dagati, that he had assigned Mary some farm labor.

One of the kids went to the farm to hunt for Mary after the father’s explanation sparked questions.

When the child arrived, he spotted blood and found Mary’s body in a leaf-covered part of the farm.

The sibling hurried back home to tell the family.

The father allegedly entered a room after being charged with the murder and ingested a toxic chemical in what appeared to be a failed suicide attempt.

At Yamatwa, he was handcuffed and turned over to the police.

After informing the police, the deceased’s body was brought to the mortuary at the Essam Government Hospital.

Additionally, the father is being treated at Essam Hospital.
