Miss Tourism Ghana 2025 celebrates cultural Heritage with regional costume night

As part of the programme line-up for Miss Tourism Ghana 2025, organisers hosted a vibrant Regional Costume Night to celebrate and promote Ghana’s rich cultural heritage.

According to Delphine Brew-Hammond, Director of Events and Operations for Miss Tourism Ghana, contestants were tasked with showcasing traditional attire representing their respective regions, reflecting the country’s diverse and colourful heritage.

‎“It was very beautiful, fun, and exciting,” Madam Brew-Hammond remarked, emphasizing that the event not only highlighted Ghanaian culture but also empowered young women to serve as ambassadors for the nation’s tourism sector.

‎The competition will continue on Saturday, August 16, with a Cooking Competition at the Tourism House in East Legon.

The first eviction will take place on Saturday. Contestants will prepare regional delicacies, demonstrating the culinary diversity that defines Ghana’s cultural identity.

Madam Brew-Hammond called on the public, friends, and families to rally behind their favorite contestants, noting that events like these strengthen community pride and promote Ghana’s tourism potential.

Contestant Monica received the evening’s highest praise from the judges and she was full of gratitude for it.

‎“My goal in Miss Tourism Ghana is to change the narrative because tourism will always boost Ghana’s economy. I urge my supporters to keep believing in me—Monica is not going home,” she said.

The Miss Tourism Ghana pageant has become an important platform for promoting Ghana’s cultural heritage and tourism industry, while also empowering women and promoting sustainable development.

The event has positioned itself as a beacon for cultural promotion, national pride, and youth development through tourism and continues to provide an opportunity for the contestants to showcase their talents, beauty, and cultural knowledge.
