Dr. Maryam Esaka Kriese has been formally confirmed by Nana Kwame Bediako, the leader of the New Force Political movement, as his running mate for the impending elections.
Bediako made a bold choice when he selected a woman who had a strong intellectual and leadership background to go along with his ideas for the future of the nation.
Renowned Ghanaian scholar Dr. Kriese is well known for her contributions to higher education and her knowledge of gender issues, African studies, and development studies.
Having completed her undergraduate studies in sociology and political science at the University of Ghana, she went on to pursue postgraduate studies in other countries with a concentration on gender and development.
As a lecturer at the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA) at the moment, Dr. Kriese is actively engaged in curriculum development, research, and teaching.
Her work frequently addresses important national economic issues, and she is well-known for her advocacy for Ghana’s advancement on gender and development issues.
