Napo Apologizes To Chiefs Of Kwame Nkrumah’s Hometown

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) running mate, has stated that his remarks regarding Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s first president, were misinterpreted and that he never meant to be disrespectful to him.

No President in Ghanaian history, even “their Kwame Nkrumah,” has performed better than President Akufo-Addo, according to Dr. Prempeh, who made this statement on July 9 during his formal inauguration as the NPP’s running mate in Kumasi.

Dr. Prempeh, also known as NAPO, issued an official apology as a result of the outrage his remarks caused.

He brought up the matter and offered the chiefs an unconditional apologies while on his campaign trail.

As someone who values knowledge and decency, Dr. Prempeh stated he could never discount the achievements of Kwame Nkrumah.

He underlined that Nkrumah had made indisputable contributions to Ghana’s growth and recognized his many accomplishments, including being named Africa’s Millennium President.
