National Service Authority terminates appointments of all volunteers in its offices

The National Service Authority (NSA) has announced the termination of all volunteer appointments within its offices across the country as part of a restructuring process. The directive, issued through a circular dated February 21, 2025, takes effect on February 28, 2025

According to the circular signed by NSA Director General, Mr. Felix Gyamfi, the move is aimed at reorganizing the Authority’s volunteer program. However, some exceptions have been made for certain districts where volunteer support remains essential. These include districts where only one staff member is available to manage operations, in which case one volunteer will be retained to assist. Additionally, volunteers will be retained in districts managing farms and other essential services such as catering, cleaning, and administrative support.

NSA expressed gratitude to the affected volunteers for their dedication, hard work, and commitment to the institution.

The Authority also directed all Heads of Departments, Unit Heads, and Regional Directors to ensure that any property issued to volunteers, including laptops, documents, and motorbikes, is returned by the deadline.
