NDC Youth Organizer Fatally Stabbed; Wife Taken into Custody
Authorities have arrested the wife of a National Democratic Congress branch youth organizer in the Asante Mampong Constituency following the fatal stabbing of her husband.
The victim, Osei Akoto, aged in his 40s and also a teacher, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital after his spouse allegedly stabbed him amid a heated argument.
Residents of the Kofi Sarpong suburb in Asante Mampong, where the couple lived, are in shock by the tragic event.
According to neighbors, the deceased and his wife, identified only as Abigail, often had disagreements, with a similar altercation occurring on Thursday night, ultimately resulting in the fatal stabbing.
Abigail, the prime suspect in the case, is presently in police custody, undergoing interrogation to aid in the ongoing investigation. Crime officers are meticulously combing through the crime scene for any crucial evidence that could shed light on the tragic incident.
Hudu Mumuni Yahaya, the NDC representative for the Asante Mampong Constituency, has corroborated the occurrence, extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. He acknowledged the deceased, Osei Akoto, for his dedicated involvement in the party’s grassroots activities.
Osei Akoto, a respected teacher in his 40s, tragically succumbed to his injuries upon arrival at the hospital after the alleged stabbing by his spouse. The shocking event has left the residents of the Kofi Sarpong suburb in Asante Mampong in disbelief.
Survived by three children, Osei Akoto’s body is transferred to the morgue for preservation and further examination through an autopsy, as authorities work tirelessly to unravel the circumstances surrounding his untimely demise.
