New Acting EOCO Boss: Abdulai Bashiru Dapilah

Abdulai Bashiru Dapilah has been named the Economic and Organised Crime Office’s (EOCO) acting executive director by President John Dramani Mahama.

The appointment becomes effective on Monday, January 27, 2025, as stated in a letter issued by Secretary to the President Callistus Mahama on January 23.

The decision is pending the legally mandated advice of EOCO’s Governing Board after consulting with the Public Services Commission. It was made in compliance with Article 195(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 11(1) of the Economic and Organised Crime Act, 2010 (Act 804).

Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah is replaced by Abdulai Bashiru Dapilah, who is anticipated to apply his experience to EOCO’s strategic operations, guaranteeing efficient law enforcement and bolstering the battle against organized crime.
