The Kasoa Ofaakor Circuit has placed a 38-year-old man known as Pussy Mama on detention for allegedly trafficking over 3,000 young girls and boys from Nigeria to Ghana, Mali, and other nations for prostitution.
This came when the suspect, who is of Nigerian heritage, showed up on Wednesday before the Isaac Oheneba Kuffour-presiding Ofaakor Circuit Court.
It is anticipated that he will return to court on October 18, 2024.
Due to his alleged use of “juju,” Pussy Mama has been on the wanted list of the Ghanaian and Nigerian police for the past ten years for human trafficking. Arresting him has proven to be extremely difficult.
He was detained by a young female police officer after he failed to get lucky and began trafficking another group of young girls between the ages of 13 to 17 to Ghana.
A police source complimented the young cop for her bravery and stated that the culprit always vanishes as soon as his body strikes a wall.
Following the court hearings, Sir Emmanuel Azubuike, the Central Regional Chairman of the Nigerian Community, disclosed that the suspect possesses excessive power.
According to Mr. Azubuike, who also serves as the International Human Rights Observatory’s Africa Coordinator, whenever a suspect is detained by Ghanaian police or Nigerian authorities, they invariably end up with the suspect.
In order to ensure that he doesn’t elude capture once more, he praised the policewoman and directed the Chief Justice and the Ghana Police Service to exercise caution.
