Omane Boamah And 4 Others Await Vetting Process Today

Today, Tuesday, January 28, the Appointments Committee of Parliament will review five ministerial nominees as part of the process to confirm those President John Dramani Mahama has selected for important government positions.

Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, the Minister-designate for Defense, will start the vetting process at 9:00 a.m. Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, MP, will undergo a vetting process for the role of Minister of State in Charge of Special Initiatives at 11:00 am.

Adjei Kenneth Gilbert, the Minister-designate for Works, Housing, and Water Resources, will feature at 1:00 pm during the afternoon session.

At 3:00 pm, the Minister-designate for the Greater Accra Region, Linda Obenewaa Akweley Ocloo, MP, will take over. The vetting of Charity Gardiner, the Minister-designate, will wrap out the day’s activities.

The vetting process is a critical step to assess the nominees’ competence and suitability for their respective roles. It also plays a vital part in shaping the leadership of President Mahama’s administration and ensuring the effective governance of the country.
