Western Region: Police arrest two in viral video brutally assaulting 12-year-old boy

Two individuals captured in a viral video brutally assaulting a 12-year-old boy by tying him with a nylon rope and hanging him on the roof of a building have been arrested by the police after the boy was rescued.
The police has named the suspects as 58-year-old Issah Morro and 27-year-old Suleman Abdul Rashid.
They are both currently in police custody.
The incident happened at New Ankasa, a community near Elubo in the Western Region.
The 12-year-old boy was accused of stealing GH¢200.
As a way to punish him, the two tied him with a nylon rope, stripped him naked and hanged him to the roof of a building and whipped him.
The two are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations.
The police confirmed that the victim has received medical care and has been handed over to his father.
The Police Service assured the public of its commitment to safety and urged all citizens to report any suspicious or abusive behaviour to the nearest police station.
