President Mahama Officially Swears In Armed Forces Council Members
President John Dramani Mahama administered the oath of office to the newly appointed Armed Forces Council members.

On Monday, March 24, President John Dramani Mahama administered the oath of office to the newly appointed Armed Forces Council members.
In accordance with the council’s duty to offer administrative supervision and policy direction for the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), the appointees, who were chosen from a variety of professional backgrounds, will take up their positions.
The effectiveness of the military, its commitment to democratic ideals, and its accountability to the civilian government are all under the purview of the Armed Forces Council.
The council’s job is to advise the president on national defense issues. Additionally, it guarantees military personnel’s care and discipline.
President Mahama swore in the new council members, who are notable figures with vast backgrounds in public administration, security, and governance.
The council’s chairperson will be Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, who is also its vice president.
Nancy Dakwa Ampofo, Daniel Addo, Fuseini Iddrisu, Mubarak Mohammed Muntaka, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, and Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah are among the other members.
