John Dramani Mahama is scheduled to visit the Western Region today, October 21, 2025, as part of a one-day working tour focused on development and accountability.
The announcement was made in a statement released by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Western Regional Communication Bureau, signed by Regional Communications Officer Richard Kirk-Mensah.
According to the statement, President Mahama will cut the sod for work to commence on the Sekondi-Takoradi to Cape Coast dual carriageway project. The initiative forms part of the NDC’s “Big Push” agenda aimed at accelerating infrastructure development.
“This transformative project is set to enhance trade and travel across the Western and Central Regions,” the statement read.
In addition to the highway project, President Mahama will also inspect ongoing health infrastructure projects, including the expansion of the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital. His visit underscores a continued commitment to improving public healthcare delivery in the region.
