Prof Hanke Schools Ofori-Atta On Macroeconomics

American economist, Prof Hanke, began the new year with “vawulence” on Ghana’s Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.

Prof Hanke resumes his constant attack on the finance minister’s incompetency. The American economist has been a frequent paint in the neck of the ruling New Patriotic Party.

Ken Ofori-Atta addressing parliament on Ghana’s debt defaulting structure, resulted in a bible quote saying ” Nothing will be lost, nothing will be missed”

Ken quoted the verse when he announce the Domestic Debt Exchange programme. A policy that has been criticised by Ghanaians from all works of life.

According to the American, the bible, is a poor guide to macroeconomics. Ghana’s debt is growing above the country’s GDP. This means the country is on a slippery road. Emphasizing the issue, the economist attacked the finance minister’s choice of reference.

Ghana’s Finance Minister Ofori-Atta justified defaulting on debt by quoting the Bible: “nothing will be lost, nothing will be missing.” The Bible is a poor guide for macroeconomics. It’s time for Ofori-Atta to stop bamboozling Ghanaians and get real. He tweeted.
