Residents Lose Belongings As Fire Destroys Mallam Atta Apartments [Video]

A fire has broken out in a few residential apartments at the Mallam Atta in Accra.

According to reports, the Tuesday evening fire started at five o’clock and caused damage.

Although some property has been lost by the residents, no one got injured or burned.

The Ghana National Fire Service reports that everything are under control in the interim.

The fire service says they will look into the incident even if the source of the fire is unknown at first.

But the delay in getting to the location has been attributed by the locals to the fire department.
However, the service has refuted the allegations.

They maintained that they arrived at the scene at 6:16 p.m. after receiving a distress call at 6:08 p.m.

Thus, it is unjust to assert that the fire department delayed.
