Rev. Kusi Boateng Loses Third Appeal Against Okudzeto Ablakwa

A request made by Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng, a trustee for the National Cathedral project, was dismissed by the Court of Appeal.

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, was sued in an attempt to prevent him from being brought up in connection with the National Cathedral project.

The founder and overseer of Power Chapel International had lost two such lawsuits at the High Court before Wednesday’s decision.

The grounds of appeal, in the court’s opinion, did not adhere to the Court of Appeals’ guidelines.

It was stricken out with the words “the grounds are incompetent and inadmissible.”

The application was against the rules of the Court of Appeal that says the Appalent must clearly state where the judge erred.”

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, the defendant, was given 3,000 cedis by the court.

After failing twice before, Rev. Kusi Boateng—also known as Adu Gyamfi in some circles—is attempting to restrict the MP for the third time.

His attorneys had provided the court with more justification in an attempt to tip the scales in their favor in a case that has attracted public attention.
