Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi Appointed As New KMA Boss

Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi is the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly's (KMA) chief executive officer.

It has been established that Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi is the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly’s (KMA) chief executive officer.

Under the previous National Democratic Congress (NDC) government, he was the Municipal Chief Executive Officer (MCE) of Obuasi.

Boadi’s recent triumph follows President John Dramani Mahama’s nomination and was the result of a resounding vote by Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly Assembly members.

His triumph was confirmed after he received 55 of the 56 votes polled.

Ashanti Regional Minister Dr Frank Amoakohene urged the New Kumasi Mayor to prioritize decongesting the city, improve sanitation, and work to address key challenges at the Kejetia Market following his confirmation as the Chief Executive for the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly.

He said these issues continue to slow development in the Kumasi Metropolis and pledged that the Regional Coordinating Council will collaborate with the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly to address issues confronting residents.
