Salifu Amoako’s Son Held In Custody

Due to his involvement in a deadly accident at East Legon, Prophet Salifu Amoako’s son has been placed under detention in custody.

On Friday, November 1, 2024, he came before the Juvenile Court in Accra, where the court ordered his Ghanaian and American passports to be seized in order to eliminate any possibility of him fleeing.

Two people were killed in the sad tragedy on October 12, which sparked outrage from the public and demands for justice.

Manslaughter, carelessly inflicting hurt, dangerous driving, and driving without a valid license are among the serious charges against the youngster accused in connection with the accident.

The accused was also ordered to undergo a medical evaluation by the court, and on Monday, he is anticipated to be brought to the University of Ghana Hospital for additional testing. His post-incident physical and mental health will be evaluated in this study.

In addition, the court mandated that he return for the upcoming hearing on November 7, 2024, where additional information about his involvement and any prospective legal actions will likely be covered.

Due in part to his family’s well-known status, this case has garnered a lot of media attention, sparking more extensive conversations on road safety, responsibility, and Ghana’s juvenile justice system.
