The House will be recalled in early November, according to the Office of the Speaker of Parliament.
This comes after the House’s New Patriotic Party (NPP) Caucus petitioned the Speaker to call a new meeting to discuss pressing issues.
A five-member Council of State delegation, headed by Chairman Nana Otuo Siriboe II, was informed by Speaker Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin that his office had already begun the recall procedures for the House.
The House was adjourned indefinitely after the delegation made a courtesy call to the Speaker to learn firsthand about recent events in the Legislature.

The Ghanaian Speaker, Speaker Bagbin, has been compelled to lead the Ghana Parliamentary delegation to attend the 67th Conference of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
The Ghanaian delegation includes former Majority Leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, House leaders, Whips, Clerk to Parliament, and other officials of the Parliamentary Service. The conference is expected to take place from November 3rd to 8th. However, the Speaker will return to Ghana earlier than anticipated due to a request by Members of Parliament to recall Parliament.
The Council applauded the Speaker’s efforts in maintaining the democratic credentials of the country and his leadership as the President of Parliamentary Organisations, such as the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association International (CPA), Conference of the Speakers and Presidents of African Legislatures (CoSHAL), and an Executive member of the International Legislative Advisory Council of the National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) in the United States of America.
Speaker Bagbin announced the indefinite suspension of Parliamentary proceedings over the legal battle resulting from his declaration of four seats vacant.
