Stephen Ntim Promises To Bring Aduomi Back To NPP

The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) National Chairman, Stephen Ntim, has promised to help Independent Candidate Kwabena Owusu Aduomi mend her relationship with the organization.

Aduomi, a former three-term member of parliament for the NPP for the constituency, decided to run as an independent candidate in the Ejisu by-election because he feels that the party’s integrity and fairness are compromised by the NPP’s apparent unwillingness to address serious concerns regarding the current delegates’ list.

A few NPP members claimed he had deserted to the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and accused him of treason.

Aduomi denied these allegations and emphasized that he continues to have the backing of NDC supporters.

Mr. Ntim voiced concerns over the two candidates from the same party running against one another in an interview with Citi News.

“Yes, it is worrying because the two main competitors, Aduomi and Kwabena Boateng belong to the same fold, family. We should not be looking at jubilating, I’m not jubilating. My focus now is on how to bring the Aduomi factor back to the fold, bringing him back to the family.

“So that in December when we are going to face the real political opponents, we are going us a unified NPP front. It shouldn’t be difficult at all. Whatever it is, we are going to reach out. As a national chairman, I’m promising you, we will take up the mantle and reach out to him.”
